The Kelly Shires Foundation provides financial assistance to individuals facing breast cancer to help with practical, day-to-day costs that can arise during treatment.
What We Offer
We offer financial support to help ease some of the unexpected expenses associated with a breast cancer diagnosis, including:
- Transportation to and from medical appointments
- Hospital parking
- Wigs and prosthetics
- Lodging during treatment
- Other essential, non-medical expenses not covered by insurance
Support is intended to help reduce financial stress during an already challenging time.
How to Apply
To apply for assistance:
- Download and complete the application form.
- Ensure all required sections are filled out.
- Submit the completed application by mail to the address listed on the form.
Applications are reviewed on an ongoing basis.

Eligibility
At this time, assistance is available to individuals who have been diagnosed with breast cancer.

Confidentiality
All applications are handled with care and confidentiality. Information shared with the Foundation is used solely for the purpose of reviewing assistance requests.
What Happens After You Apply?
Applications are reviewed by our Committee on an ongoing basis. Once your application has been approved, financial assistance is issued as quickly as possible.
In most cases, funds are received within 24 hours of approval when direct deposit is selected. Assistance may be provided by direct deposit or cheque, based on your preference indicated on the application form.
